We had a great TACKY Day!!
We had some super tacky little kiddos in our room today, but I think Ms. Mary Ann might have to take the prize for the tackiest of them all!! If your child has not told you about all the tackiness, just ask them about their silly friends and teachers!
We have been reading and writing about Tacky the Penguin all week. We have read several of Helen Lester's Tacky books, created our own Tacky books, and even wrote books that could teach Tacky how to do something! We worked so hard and created such great work this week that we invited Mr. Carter, Ms Still, and Ms. Benko to come to our room this afternoon a listen to our work. I think they were impressed!
Then we made our own Tacky with a little mis-matched style.
Then in honor of Tacky's home--the nice icy land--we took some time to talk about solids and liquids and create some icicles. Keep your fingers crossed that our "icicles" crystalize over the weekend!
